The travel writers at Copia Excursion were very excited to discover GoGoBot.com and its iPhone app this past weekend!
Based on just a couple of days of use, we’re thinking that this might just be the be-all-end-all of travel planning websites! You get a digital passport that holds all the places that you’ve been (locations) and then all the things that you did while you were there! You write recommendations/reviews and then people can see those and they can help them to plan a trip. It also has a trip planner feature, where you can be on the receiving end of that kind of advice as you plan your own trip. It creates little maps and guides for you. Boom!
Like FourSquare and Yelp, as you review and make custom destination guides, you get badges! What is it about these digital badges that is just so appealing? We don’t know, but we want more badges!
